We met at a moment that is — let’s be honest — far from ordinary. When words like defense, security, and threats dominate public discourse, and when regional tensions feel like the “new normal,” speaking about sustainability may seem almost naïve.
But in reality, this is exactly the time when the meaning of sustainability becomes clearest.
Because sustainability is resilience. It is not the opposite of security — it is its partner. One protects our borders; the other protects our values, our people, and our long-term capacity to remain strong amid constant change.
Sustainability is smart defense: a defense against short-term thinking, wasteful practices, and the illusion that responsibility is optional.
We believe deeply that sustainability builds societal resilience. Organizations that consistently apply sustainability principles cultivate trust — and trust is what makes people committed, engaged, and capable of facing uncertainty together.
